THE CHEVRON CHAMPIONSHIP

APRIL 2024

In 2024, the Golf Diversity Program continued our with the LPGA’s Chevron Championship with the Career Days, a two-day event held during the tournament at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.

Once again, one day focused on high school women aged 12-17, and the other was geared toward female athletes from Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Our goals were to build on the momentum gained in the first two years while continuing to empower and inspire women as they journey toward their futures.

Hosted by Peter Jacobsen and Nancy Lopez, the  2024 Career Days featured presenters included Shaniek Brown (USC Journalism Graduate Student and PVAMU Alumnus), Laura Diaz (Senior Director of Community and Inclusion, LPGA), LaJean Gould (Founder, The Women in Golf Foundation, Inc.), Mesha Levister (Head Golf Coach, PVAMU), Marissa Mar (Customer Solutions & Marketing Advisor, Chevron New Energies), and Lora Spencer (Principal Global Litigation & Investigations Counsel, Medtronic).
