Career Days at the Chevron Championship
APRIL 2025
In 2025, the Golf Diversity Program continued working with the LPGA’s Chevron Championship with the Career Days, a two-day event held during the tournament at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.
The golf industry can be intimidating for those interested in a career. Chevron career days helps bridge the gap between a passion for the game, and a career in golf.
This year, day one focused on high school women aged 12-17, and the other was geared toward female athletes from Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Our goals were to build on the momentum gained in the first two years while continuing to empower and inspire women as they journey toward their futures.
Hosted by Peter Jacobsen and Lora Spencer, the 2025 Career Days featured presenters included Iman Abraham (Multimedia Journalist, KFDM News Beaumont), Kyra Cox (Foundation and Events Administrator, Metropolitan PGA Foundation), Destany Hall (Tournament and Events Manager, The Women in Golf Foundation, Inc.), Mesha Levister (Head Golf Coach, PVAMU), and Sam Simmons (Chief People and Internal Operations Officer, LPGA).
2025 was another great year of building connections, opening doors, and inspiring diversity in golf!
